At this year’s “Spatial Planners Meeting 2024,” held in Divčibare from November 26 to 28, 2024, one of the panel discussions focused on the topic “The relationship between plans and sectoral studies in the field of traffic and transport”. The discussion emphasized the importance of transport analyses and studies in the preparation of planning documents. The goal was to determine the required level of transport analyses for planning documents at different hierarchical levels and to explore ways to ensure the execution of necessary transport studies and analyses during the development of planning documentation.

In this way, an initiative has been launched that will be developed in the upcoming period. It is important to emphasize that all participants of the Conference recognized the need to improve current practices regarding this issue, which serves as an additional incentive to persevere in implementing this initiative.
